Abstract
The place and role of the ethnic-pedagogical component in the structure of specialists’ competence training are highlighted in the study. The influence of the Declaration of Independence of Ukraine (1991) on the display of characteristic tendencies is emphasized. The revival of ethno-pedagogical traditions and ethno-cultural activities is prominent. The historical-pedagogical context of the ethno-pedagogical component of the content of school education in Ukraine is considered. The specific features of the ethno-pedagogical component of future teacher training are indicated; the pedagogical conditions of their training on issues of forming the foundations of ethno-pedagogical culture are defined and characterized. The purpose of the article is to reveal and clarify the prospects of using ethno-pedagogical knowledge as an integral component of Ukrainian studies for the motivated attitude of future teachers of humanitarian subjects to ethno-cultural activities in the process of professional education and work in secondary education institutions. It has been concluded that future teacher training in ethno-cultural activities should be based on the following principles: awareness of the importance of the ethno-pedagogical component in the general level of their professional training, which we associate with the study by future specialists of the cultural and historical heritage of the Ukrainian people, samples of material and spiritual folk culture, which will form the foundation of their ethno-culture; the fundamental idea is the understanding that ethno-pedagogy is not only a theoretical science, but also a complex of practical searches, measures to study, find and preserve the cultural heritage of the Ukrainian people by involving the acquirers in collecting samples, for example, folk folklore: songs, epics, mythology, legends, games, rituals, etc.; it will contribute to the emergence of interest in studying the history of the country, its region, culture, life, enrich the students with the basics of ethno-cultural knowledge; involvement of future teachers of humanitarian subjects in professional training for participation in various types of creative groups for the formation of the emotional component of each students’ consciousness; orienting students to the creation of an ethno-pedagogical environment in a secondary educational institution for the formation of the foundations of ethno-culture among young people
